- AboutHybrid Hack is a dynamic competition for college students, challenging them to design simulation models that harness renewable energy for electricity generation, water management, and waste handling.
This event showcases innovative solutions in Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRES), emphasizing sustainability and the crucial role of renewable energy in shaping a greener future. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful environmental change through their creative and technical skills. - Structure● Round 1 (Innovative Hybrid System Design):
Participating teams will choose a country and identify two or more renewable energy sources found in its less-developed areas. They must propose a hybrid renewable energy system addressing real-world energy issues in that region. Teams are required to submit a PowerPoint presentation explaining the chosen location, selected energies, project concept, and the software they plan to use for simulation.
● Round 2 (Simulation Round):
Shortlisted teams will develop and simulate their proposed hybrid renewable energy system using professional simulation tools. The submission must include system architecture, simulation data, analysis of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and, optionally, AI/ML-based optimization features. Teams are expected to submit a structured PowerPoint report or document comprising diagrams, analytical insights, and conclusions proving the practical viability of the system.
● Round 3 (Business Model and Pitch Round):
Top teams will participate in a live online pitching session. Each team will present their project as a viable business model to a panel of expert judges acting as potential investors. The pitch must cover market relevance, implementation strategy, scalability, and financial feasibility. Each team gets 7 minutes to present followed by a 3-minute Q&A. - Timeline21st July 2025 - Inaugural Ceremony
