Quadcopter Championship
Gravity whispers rotors scream.. legends will bleem.

- AboutThe Quadcopter Championship is an exhilarating national-level event that brings together drone enthusiasts and skilled pilots to compete and exhibit their aerial expertise. Held at the TP Auditorium Ground, the championship features a series of high-intensity challenges, including obstacle courses, precision flying, and time-based races. Participants navigate their quadcopters through complex tracks designed to test various aspects such as speed, control, agility, and innovation in manoeuvring.

- TimelineEvaluation Format
● Inspection: Judges conduct a thorough inspection of each drone, examining build quality, design, and compliance with rules.
● Presentation: Teams present their drone, highlighting design features, innovations, and safety measures.
● Functionality Test: Drones undergo basic functionality tests, such as hovering and basic maneuvers, to ensure operational.
Round 0:
Before starting Round 1, the drones are evaluated accordingly by judges. The objective is to evaluate the drone based on design, construction quality, adherence to competition rules, and overall functionality.
Round 1: Racing
● The objective is to complete a predefined track or course in the shortest amount of time.
● Two drones fly simultaneously, navigating through gates, around obstacles, and along a set path.
● Only one lap will be held; the drone that reaches the finish line without deviating moves on to the next round.
● The time taken to cover the distance will be considered for the future.
● After completion, the pair will be allowed to perform.
1. Lap-Based Scoring:
- Lap Completion: Drones may need to complete multiple laps. The total time for all laps is considered.
- Each completed lap earns points based on position at the end of each lap.
- Points might also be awarded for intermediate positions during the race to encourage consistent performance.
2. Bonus Points:
- Fastest Lap: 5 points
- Clean Run: 3 points for completing the course without penalties
Round 2: Time Trials
● The speed, agility, and precision of the pilot are tested.
● A bright line of width 10 cm will be marked for 30 meters with bends, zigzags, loops, and extreme turns.
● The quadcopter must fly at a height of 3 meters (±1 meter deviation allowed) following the line.
● The quadcopter must return to the starting point following the same path.
● A deviation line at 150 cm on both sides is marked; crossing it will reduce points.
Round 3: Obstacles
● Objective: Navigate through a series of obstacles without touching them, completing the course in the shortest possible time.
● Skills Tested: Precision flying, obstacle avoidance, and control.
● The arena includes Rings, Poles, Ladders, etc. Teams must complete the course without hitting obstacles.
● Scoring:
- Starting Score: 1000 points
- –2 points per second as time passes
- –4 points for every obstacle hit
● Faster completion = Higher score - Rules
