At Reroute, participants will immerse themselves in the world of line-following robots, sharpening practical engineering skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. This dynamic event fosters strategic thinking, precise execution, and a deep understanding of advanced robotics, all while igniting a lasting passion for technological innovation. With each challenge, participants gain exposure to real-world applications, preparing them to tackle future technological advancements. Reroute is where creativity and cutting-edge technology converge to shape tomorrow's innovators. Join us and be part of the revolution that’s transforming the robotics landscape!
- StructureRound 1: Qualifying Rounds
In Round 1 of Reroute, participants will navigate a complex map featuring black lines on a white background with obstacles like dotted lines, T-junctions, crossings, zigzags, S-shaped turns, U-turns, and loops. The white lines will be 2 cm wide, creating a narrow path for the robots. Teams will have 12 minutes to complete the course, and a calibration period will be provided beforehand. If a robot veers off course or gets stuck, it can be repositioned at the nearest checkpoint passed, but each reset incurs a 15-second penalty, with a maximum of 15 resets allowed. The goal is to reach the finish line in the shortest time possible.
Round 2: Final Challenge
In this round, participants will navigate a complex map consisting of 2 cm-wide white lines on a black background, filled with obstacles such as dotted lines, T-junctions, crossings, zigzag lines, S-shaped turns, U-turns, and loops. Teams will be given a calibration period before the event to prepare their bots. Once the round begins, they will have 12 minutes to guide their robots to the finish line in the shortest time possible. If a robot veers off course or gets stuck, it can be reset at the nearest checkpoint passed, with each reset incurring a 15-second penalty, up to a maximum of 15 resets. A draw match will be held if any of the top three teams finish with the same points. - FAQ
